The Mystery of the Night

Standard
For someone who scares easily, I do not understand this fascination with night that compels me. But when the sun hides itself, another world is revealed. A world that is quiet, dark, & eerie. At night I can hear my own thoughts, the deep thoughts that are pushed aside during the chaos of the day. My inner voice comes forward to discuss the matters in life that need attention. “Some of the most heartfelt discussions happen in the late hours of the evening.”
I stopped to take this photo on my way home – taking only a moment to capture the life that thrives even in the dark. And if it hadn’t been raining I would have lie down on the field & absorbed a fraction of the beauty the shadows hold.
